The writer contradicts himself many times and repeats himself many times. Stating that buying a used Vitamaster is dangerous is a rediculous statement.

I have a Vitamaster, and it works perfect. Have had no problems getting parts.

I am searching for a safety key for my Vitamaster treadmill, any suggestions?

Thank  you in advance,

You can order a safety key by calling 1-800-633-5730 and give them the model number off of your machine.  I did so today and it only cost $19.95.  Good luck!

I don't need parts. I just need to lubricate the darn thing (we got it free from a friend, and it works fine, but started SMOKING the other day after a 50-minute workout). How to lubricate and what type of lubricant?

Adrian from Arcadia CA, After a repeating overheating of the motor, I used white Lithium Grease to lubricate my treadmill. This is an automotive spray lubricant I purchased at an auto store. Remove the plastic covers on the side and front to expose the belt rollers.Look at the ends where the belt supported by two20" long rollers. Apply the spray lubricant to the ends of each belt roller supports (not the belt). On my machine #8708 the rollers are held in place with a 1/2" steel shaft. After lubricating the overheating stopped. My next machine will have bearings. This thing was not designed for long hard use. 4-24-10

The write was profoundly repetitious. I appreciate the efforts; however, I would recommend proofreading to ensure readability. Thank you for the article though.
